Minor degree program

FOREST RESOURCES
The primary goal of the Forest Resources minor degree program is to develop a working knowledge of the processes that influence provision of the key products derived from forest lands. Courses taken in fulfillment of a major degree program will also be able to be applied to a minor degree program.

(3 credits)RNEW 3000 Tropical Ecology (3 credits) GEOG 4470 Fire Ecology (3 credits) Total Required Credits 20 Credits 1 The required one credit of “Problems: Forest Resources” will serve as a cap-stone project that will establish the students ability to integrate multiple product considerations associated with forest management. This course will require the student to work with a professor with expertise in forest resource management to develop a professional paper regarding a multi-faceted forest resource topic of the student’s choice. This paper will also be orally presented and discussed with a group of professors with interests in forest management.
