Professional Accomplishments in Brief
Research has concentrated in forage crop physiology, conservation tillage, trap crops and varietal development. A recent accomplishment has been the development of expertise in 'ley' crop/livestock production systems and pulse crops by virtue of six visiting scientist visitations to Australia in the last decade. A research goal is to develop viable crop/livestock production systems suitable to the central plains using annual legume capable of reestablishing themselves from the soils seed bank as in the Australian 'ley' system. Actively training graduate students as a member of the graduate faculty. An adjunct faculty member of the University of Nebraska. Served as President of the Western Society of Crop Science in 1998. Authored or co-authored 63 refereed publications, 45 invited presentations, 9 crop variety releases. Recipient of the 2007 Wyoming Crop Improvement Association Excellence in Service Award. publications. This site is maintained by Randy L. Anderson.
