Welcome to the
Wyoming
Soil Resource Webpage. Our research and extension projects focus on
nutrient cycling in natural, disturbed, and agricultural settings from
the perspective of landscape and soil organic matter dynamics.
We are interested in learning how interactions among landscapes,
plant communities, and land use affect resiliency and
degradation-recovery processes as applied to on-the-ground ecological
restoration and sustainable management.
We are most interested
in using applied research as an extension tool. Engaging land owners,
agency managers, conservationists, and others in planning and
implementing problem-solving research provides the most effective
learning situations for both researchers and managers. It also ensures
relevant and practical results that address real production and
management issues.
