Ann Hild is a professor at the University of Wyoming Department of Renewable Resources, who conducts research in rangelands and shrub plant ecology. Prior to beginning at UW, she worked as a post-doctoral research associate with the USDA ARS in Miles City, Montana. She holds a doctoral degree in Range, Wildlife and Fisheries and a master’s degree in Horticulture, both from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology at the University of Iowa. She has worked as a forestry field specialist for the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Director of Parks and Recreation in Canyon Texas. She grew up in Iowa and spent many summers in Wyoming as a child, eventually moving to Cheyenne before obtaining her graduate education.
