Federal Land Politics

3 Credit hours

Examines the political forces that have shaped and continue to shape federal land policy and management. Explores the interactions between democratic decision making and science in the management of federal lands. Surveys the sources of controversy over federal land management and methods for harmonizing public demands with technical expertise. Cross listed with POLS/ENR/G&R/AMST 4052. Prerequisite: POLS 1000.
