Research Experience

Research in soil fertility, crop production, variety testing, crop physiology, and precision agriculture since 1980 in Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

Current Research

  • Precision agriculture.

Project goals: Develop and support precision agriculture research
    at the University of Wyoming.

  • Geographic Information System for management of the Wyoming
    Agricultural Experiment Station.

Project goals: Use GPS and GIS to develop a management
system for the three research and extension centers that will
consolidate and integrate field records in a consistent and
accessible format. Current focus is on SAREC (established 2003).

  • Annual medic breeding and management.

Project goals: To develop an annual medic variety adapted to
Wyoming that can be integrated into a winter wheat
    production system.

  • Austrian Winter Pea breeding and management trials.

Project goals: To develop a winter pea variety adapted to
Wyoming and optimum management practices for production. Professional Memberships
