Forage Crop Science

3 Credit hours


Major aspects of forage crop production and biology. Cultural practices, adaptation, sustainable agriculture use, seed production, harvest, livestock utilization and storage of forages. Emphasizes characteristics of important grasses and legumes. Prerequisite: AECL 1000 or BIOL 1000. (Offered fall semester)
