Postal Rate Changes

 

Effective May 12, 2008, rates will change for USPS mailing services of First-Class, Standard Mail, Special Services and others.  These changes can be viewed at   http://www.usps.com/prices/welcome.htm. The average increase by class of mail is at or below the rate of inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index.

Departments should allow for these changes in their 2009 budgets. Also, departments should realize that rates may change each May according to The Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act (90 day notice should be given).
