Admissions Checklist for Non-Degree Applicants

Please note that not all graduate-level coursework is available for
enrollment by non-degree students. Please check with the department
for details.

Step 2. A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited school is
required. Please send an official transcript, indicating proof of
bachelor's, to:

Scores - sent to the Graduate School (school code is 4855)
A minimum score of 540 on the written exam, 207 on the
computerized exam, or 76 on the Internet-based test is required for full
admission. We will also accept official IELTS scores. A minimum score of 6.0 is required for
full admission.
The TOEFL is usually not required if you've obtained a degree from a
U.S. institution or an institution with English instruction within one year
of becoming a graduate student at UW.
NOTE: If your TOEFL score does not reflect the minimum requirements, you have not taken the test, or you simply need supplemental English study before attending the University of Wyoming, you have the opportunity to attend our ELS Language Center to improve your English language skills and waive the TOEFL requirement.
