4-H youth educator starts Monday in Campbell County
Deena Wolf begins Monday, June 2, as a 4-H youth educator in the Campbell County University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES) office in Gillette.
Wolf is a 2000 graduate of Wright High School. “I’m excited to be able to be an educator in my home county,” she said, “and to be able to give back to those who gave to me.”
Wolf received her bachelor’s degree in agribusiness in 2005 from the University of Wyoming and an associate’s degree in agribusiness from Casper College in 2002. Wolf completed two 4-H internships during her college career – in Campbell County in 2002, and she assisted with the state fair in 2004.
According to Susan James, federal relations and staff development coordinator with UW CES, “Deena brings a broad 4-H background to the position. As a member, she participated in many projects from clothing, foods and woodworking, to animal science projects including horse and swine.”
Wolf was also active in the 4-H junior leader program. As a senior in college, she conducted a research project summarizing the value of 4-H volunteers in Campbell County. Wolf will join part-time extension educator Jessica Gladson in providing leadership for the 4-H program in Campbell County.
