Tammy HeppNutrition program assistant joins Johnson County extension office

A program assistant for the Cent$ible Nutrition Program has joined the Johnson County University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES) office in Buffalo.

Tammy Hepp began in October, according to Mindy Meuli, program manager of the extension service’s CNP in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Agriculture.

A Wyoming native, Hepp attended Casper College and earned an associate of arts degree in business administration in 1986.

“I have worked in various office and social services settings,” Hepp said. “The majority of my experience has been in the area of working with at-risk youths and their families. My past positions have included serving as transitional living coordinator, multidisciplinary team meeting facilitator and foster care coordinator.”

The UW CES CNP program helps Food Stamp Program-eligible residents learn how to eat better for less and stretch their Food Stamp buying power. CNP provides educational opportunities for Wyoming families and individuals with limited resources that lead to having access to an affordable, available, adequate, nutritious and safe food supply.
