Brown BagUW extension sponsors brown bag seminars in Powell starting Oct. 9

A weekly series of brown-bag seminars are from noon-12:50 p.m. Thursdays at the Powell Branch of the Park County Library starting in October.

Coffee and tea are provided.

Topics are:

Oct. 9 – How to make your home more energy efficient, Dallen Smith, University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES) educator in Greybull.

Oct. 16 – Septic system care and maintenance, Ann Trosper, Powell-Clarks Fork Conservation District.

Oct. 23 – Fertilizer facts, Sandra Frost, UW CES educator in Powell.

Nov. 6 – The complete cottonwood tree: everything you wanted to know, Tanner Shuler, U.S. Forest Service forestry technician.

Nov. 13 – Native grasses and their uses, Terry Marcotte, Park County Master Gardener.

Nov. 20 – Lavender: Mediterranean perennial, Frost.
