Andrea BowdenNutrition assistant joins Carbon County extension office

A Cent$ible Nutrition Program (CNP) assistant educator joined the Carbon County University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES) office.

Andrea Bowden began in late October, according to Mindy Meuli, program manager of the UW CES’s CNP in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Agriculture.

“Andrea has great ties to the Rawlins community and will help expand and grow the program in Carbon County to help families eat better for less,” said Meuli.

Bowden earned an associate of arts degree in early childhood education from Western Wyoming Community College in 2006 and was named the Western Wyoming Community College Outstanding Outreach Graduate.

The UW CES CNP program helps Food Stamp Program-eligible residents learn how to eat better for less and stretch their Food Stamp buying power. CNP provides educational opportunities for Wyoming families and individuals with limited resources that lead to having access to an affordable, available, adequate, nutritious and safe food supply.
