B-1196UW extension bulletin describes selecting, showing produce at fairs

Vegetables may only now be sprouting, but those planning to show produce at local fairs can benefit from a new bulletin from the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES).

Selecting and Showing Produce, B-1196, provides guidelines in choosing what produce to exhibit and how to show the produce.

“Produce is an important part of every fair,” said Karen Panter, UW CES horticulturist and author of the bulletin. “Experience in selecting and exhibiting fruits and vegetables will help exhibitors gain know-how and achieve success with their garden products.”

The eight-page bulletin is available for free download at http://ces.uwyo.edu/PUBS/B1196.pdf. Hard copies, for $2 each, can be ordered by accessing http://ces.uwyo.edu/, clicking the Publications link at the top of the page then the Search Bulletins link, and typing B-1196 in the Publication Number box and hitting Search Number. Click on the publication title and the link for requesting a hardcopy will be available.
