ACADEMIC YEAR - Full-time students are assessed mandatory student fees,
which includes $ 99.00 for the Student Health Service. Part-time students may
purchase the Optional Student Fee Package, which includes this SHS fee.
Eligible students benefits include unlimited visits to staff physicians
and nurses. Services for which there is a charge include; psychiatric,
orthopedic clinics, pharmacy, laboratory, allergy immunotherapy, immunizations,
appliances, medical supplies, and medical or surgical procedures.
TRICARE(military insurance for service personnel and their dependents) - Student Health Service is not an authorized Tricare PRIME provider.
Tricare PRIME users are obligated to contact their Primary Care Manager(PCM) for location of authorized
service provider. Tricare STANDARD users will be presented with a waiver at each visit that must be signed
prior to receiving services.
SUMMER - Summer session students who are enrolled, pay the Student Health
fee ($74.25), have access to the Student Health Service for the entire summer.
Students enrolled for the spring semester and pre-registered for the fall
semester, but not enrolled during the summer session, will be eligible to
purchase summer access to the Student Health Service by paying the
mandatory fee assessed for the summer term.
Enrollment in, or waiver
from, the University of Wyoming Student Medical Insurance program has no
effect on eligibility to use the Student Health Service. For more information about the Student Medical Insurance Program,
