Family Recreation

Dependents: Include children of UW employees or students 18 years of age and younger who have not yet graduated from high school. This includes natural, legally adopted, legal guardian, and step children. Note: Campus Recreation does not define dependent status.

Please read the following important information about dependent use of the facilities.


Family and Dependent Hours


  • Dependents are allowed in the facility with adult supervision Fridays after 3:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday during normal building hours.

  • Dependents, with adult sponsors, may swim in the shallow pool on Tuesdays and Fridays 5-7pm.

  • During university breaks and the summer session, dependents can access Half Acre when accompanied by an adult during all building hours.

  • Corbett pool is open to dependents during all regularly scheduled pool hours.

  • Corbett gym and pool is open to UW families from 6-8pm every Friday, with the exception of university holidays.

Policies


Please read our facility policies, paying special attention to our dependent policy in regard to usage of the facilities and supervision of dependents.

Fees


Please see dependent membership fees and use our online registration to pay the fees or come to the Half Acre recreation office during regular hours to pay the fees.

Identification


  • Dependents 5 years of age and older are required to have a Campus Express ID card.  This card can be obtained at the Campus Express Office located in room 28 in the basement of Knight Hall for $15.00.

  • Teenagers may obtain a "teen" sticker for their Campus ID at the Campus Recreation Office in the Half Acre Lobby. A parent/guardian must accompany the teen when requesting a "teen" sticker to verify their age.

Teenage Supervision


Teen dependents can swim at Corbett without adult supervision if they present a photo ID or Campus ID with a teen sticker to verify their age.
