MISSION, FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are committed to providing students, staff, faculty and visitors with a clean, attractive, safe, and functional environment in which to study and work by means of planning, developing, and providing services, which enhance the University of Wyoming's mission of teaching, research and public service.

Our function is to be the "Contractor of Choice" by providing construction, maintenance, and repair services that delivers a finished product, which meets the customer's needs, under budget, and on time.

Our responsibilities are to remain cognizant of cost, response time, and value received.

Description of the Work Force

The University of Wyoming Physical Plant is comprised of five major functional areas: Facilities Management, Facilities Services, Utilities Management, Business Services, and the Jacoby Golf Course.

Facilities Management provides maintenance and repair, in-house construction management, and engineering services to the University community.
Facilities Services provides grounds, custodial, technical, waste, recycling, equipment, and moving services.
Utilities Management provides management, engineering and planning for campus wide utilities which include steam, water, irrigation water, chilled water, compressed air, storm and sanitary sewer.
Business Operations provides business operations support for the Physical Plant and its customers.
Jacoby Golf Course is an 18-hole golf course open to the public and operated by the University of Wyoming.
