Dial-Up Modem Connections

Connecting to the UWYO-PPP Remote Access Server

The links at left lead to instructions for configuring your system to dial into the university remote access server via modem. You must have an active UW computer account before you can establish a connection to the UW network.

UW Modem Time Limits

Modem Pool Connection Time Limit
Faculty/Staff 3 hours
Student 2 hours
University Apartments 12 hours

Users exceeding these time limits will be automatically disconnected from the modem pool.
