Other Applications
The Department of Information Services acquires new responsibilities
as the needs of the university change. Over the course of the last few
years, DIS has taken on support roles for a number of smaller
departmental applications. These include:
TouchFit – An Oracle-based system used by Campus
Recreation to track facility use at both Half Acre and Corbet. TouchFit
interfaces with both the Banner Student System and HRMS to track
facility use by students, faculty, staff and other groups.
Resource 25 – An Oracle-based system from CollegeNet
Corp. used to schedule and track utilization of spaces in the Wyoming
Union and to schedule classrooms. The goal is to use this software to
automate class scheduling and maximize space utilization across campus.
ITSM – An Oracle-based system used by Information
Technology to track issues and help ensure that user issues are dealt
with quickly and effectively while building a knowledge base of
solutions.
AXIS – An Oracle-based system used by IT to
facilitate telecommunications projects and billing.
VisuaLab – An Oracle-based system used by the
Wyoming State Veterinary Laboratory to track cases and test results and
to disseminate case results to its customers.
ImageNow – An Oracle-based document imaging system
used by the Division of Administration to speed workflow and reduce
paper through online document capture and links to Peoplesoft
Financials.
OnBase – An Oracle-based document imaging system
used by UW Foundation to speed workflow and reduce paper.
TouchFit – An Oracle-based system used by Campus
Recreation to track access to facilities and related issues.
UPR – An Oracle-based content management system used
across campus to centralize and distribute web-based content.
