HRMS/PIStOL

Oracle PeopleSoft Financials (PIStOL)

The University of Wyoming started using the PeopleSoft Financials system back in 1998. The web architecture gives the clients broad functionality and easy accessibility to data. Reports are distributed electronically via a server. Information Technology Telecommunications and System Support are responsible for the network infrastructure and network servers. The Department of Information Services is responsible for program maintenance and modification. The university has named the project "PIStOL," which stands for PeopleSoft Information System On Line.

System implementation:

  • Software purchased in June, 1997
  • Purchasing and Accounts Payable went live in Feb, 1998
  • General Ledger went live in July, 1998
  • First major upgrade from release 6.0 to 7.0 in Oct. 1999
  • Asset Management implementation completed first quarter of 2001
  • Upgrade from release 7.0 to 7.02, first quarter of 2001
  • Upgrade from release 7.02 to release 8.4, second quarter of 2004
  • Implemented a custom replacement for the Budget Prep system, second quarter 2005
  • Upgrade from release 8.4 to release 9.0, second quarter 2008

Oracle PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

The University of Wyoming started using the PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System back in 2003. The application allows for better functionality and reporting of data. We currently use the Human Resources, Payroll, and Time and Labor modules. Information Technology Telecommunications and System Support are responsible for the network infrastructure and network servers. The Department of Information Services is responsible for program maintenance and modification.

System implementation:

  • HR, Payroll, and Time and Labor modules went live in October 2003
  • Upgrade from 8.3 to release 8.9, fourth quarter 2007
  • Implementation of self-service applications, third quarter 2009
