Total International Student Costs

The following annual costs are for the 2006/2007 academic year at the University of Wyoming and are subject to change. In order for international students to receive an I-20 or DS-2019 document it will be necessary for them to document to UW and to a consular official at a U.S. embassy or consulate that they can meet these costs for at least their first year of study in the United States.

As part of the undergraduate and graduate admissions process it will be necessary for each student to complete a Confidential Financial Statement document before final admission is granted. This is a standard process at institutions throughout the country. Cost of attendance is a key factor in considering which school to attend in the United State. Many are very expensive and it is assumed that the individual will have financial resources for their entire educational experience in the United States.

Undergraduate Single Student - Tuition/fees = $10,055 (Estimate for 15 semester credit hours)
Accommodation = $ 8,604 (includes Residence Hall room and board, health insurance and books)
Total = $18,659*

Graduate Single Student - Tuition/fees = $10,727 (Estimate for 9 semester credit hours)
Accommodation = $ 8,604 (includes Residence Hall room and board, health insurance and books)
Total = $19,331*

These estimates assume a modest standard of living and don't include any personal expenses students may incur. Please anticipate spending an average of $2,000 on personal expenses per year. Personal expenses include local travel, entertainment, clothing and other costs that vary greatly with each individual.
