The University of Wyoming offers a campus orientation program at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. This mandatory program is designed to acquaint incoming international students with the Laramie and university communities through a series of informative activities and services. Students will discuss academic issues, tour the campus, meet with UW officials and student representatives, hear from student support organizations, and learn about special services that are available to international students. It also offers students an opportunity to learn about immigration regulations, procedures, and policies that will affect them while they are studying in the United States. As part of the orientation program students will complete various forms that are required by International Students and Scholars. These documents will help ISS report required arrival and immigration information to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). That is why it is critical that each new international student arrive early and attend the orientation session at the beginning of their first semester at UW. We urge students to make their travel plans accordingly so that they are here in time to attend their scheduled orientation program.
Upcoming International Student Orientation sessions are tentatively scheduled for:
* Fall semester, 2007 August 23rd & 24th, 2007
* Spring semester, 2008 January 11th, 2008
* Fall semester, 2008 August 21st & 22nd, 2008
* Spring semester, 2009 January 9th, 2009
