CHECKLIST FOR ADVERTISING ADMINISTRATIVE/FACULTY/ACADEMIC PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

Go to the Faculty & Administrative Searches section of the Employment Practices Office (EPO) website at http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/EmploymentPractices/Facutly_Administrative_Searches.asp and follow the steps outlined.

Complete the Job Requisition making sure to indicate if you want the position posted to the UW Web Site and/or HigherEdJobs.com.

Submit the Job Requisition and advertisement to the Appointing Authority for approval.

Once the Appointing Authority has approved, forward to EPO for approval.

After EPO has approved the Job Requisition and advertisement, EPO will forward to HR with dates for advertising.

Forward an electronic copy of the advertisement to HR at jobapps@uwyo.edu.

Once the position has been posted, HR will send an email stating the position is on the website(s) and the date the position is scheduled to be removed.  A position will be advertised for 30 days from the date of posting.

It is the department’s responsibility to notify HR if they would like the position to be advertised past the removal date.  HR will then notify EPO of the advertising extension.
