Board of Trustee Retirement Benefits  

For Official "Board Retirees" Only

      Criteria: 25 years of University service OR age 60 with 15 years of immediately preceding University service.

  1. Conversion of up to 120 days of accrued sick leave to be applied toward the state contribution for GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE if elected at a rate of 1.5 months of coverage for each five days of sick leave; i.e., 960 sick leave hours = three years of state contribution.
  2. Payment for one-half the premium for STATE LIFE INSURANCE for life, if elected
  3. RECREATION FACILITIES access without charge (spouse or surviving spouse may purchase access)
  4. CAMPUS PARKING PERMIT without charge (spouse or surviving spouse may purchase permit)
  5. Discounted SEASON ATHLETIC TICKETS - same discount provided active benefited personnel (spouse or surviving spouse receives discount)
  6. User privileges at UW LIBRARIES including all electronic files available to UW personnel
  7. Access to UWYO COMPUTER DOMAIN without charge.
  8. DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE without charge once every three years.
  9. “Board Retiree” CAMPUS ID without charge (spouse or surviving spouse may purchase an ID card)
  10. May attend UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING CLASSES on a space available basis at no cost. (Beginning Spring, 2002).
  11. OFFICE SPACE for faculty with appropriate approval based upon availability and regular use (usually reserved for academic personnel with emeritus status).

 

Employees who die while on active service or who are terminated for cause shall not be eligible for any Board Retirement benefit.

COOP AGENCY ''SPECIAL" RETIREMENT BENEFITS

      Criteria: same--verify with agency

  1. May purchase recreation facilities (coop staff and spouse/surviving spouse)
  2. May purchase "A" permit (coop staff and spouse/surviving spouse)
