Has mealtime turned into a war zone? Is it hard to get anything that might be healthy down? Here are some tips on how to get that picky eater to try something new.

 

 

· Expose children to a variety of foods often.  

· Verbally praise children for trying new foods and eating well.  

· Rest assured that the children wouldn't allow themselves to starve. They'll eat when they're hungry.  

· New foods should be introduced gradually, and often children will need to be exposed to new foods many times before accepting them.  

· A little bit of the new food served alongside familiar foods over a period of time helps children become comfortable with the new food.  

· Picky eaters consumed about the same overall amount of nutrition, but they had much less variety in what they ate and were less likely to try new things.

 

 

Picky eaters can be very frustrating, but by using some food eating tips you can improve that picky eater's attitude and possible get them to try something new!
