Personal Statement:
As a faculty member in the land-grant university system, I am committed to the three prong mission of engagement, (extension/outreach), discovery (research/scholarship) and learning (instruction). Supporting individuals and families in transition best describes my academic focus. I began working in the area of family stress and families facing the farm crisis of the 1980s. I continue this effort today in helping Wyoming and western agricultural families cope with agricultural stress and rural mental health issues. I also conduct educational programs for families at-risk and human interaction and human resource management in agricultural and rural family enterprises. In addition, I have just initiated a new project titled: Wyoming AgrAbility: Promoting Success in Agriculture for People with Disabilities and their Families.
