Welcome!
Welcome to
the University of Wyoming’s Office of Diversity//Equal
Employment Opportunity homepage. This website has been
developed to provide information about the role and services
the Diversity//EEO Office provides to the University of
Wyoming community.
Mission: To advise and assist in the creation of an
environment free of discrimination, further enhance the
university’s appreciation for the contributions of diversity
to teaching and learning, and secure a climate of acceptance
and mutual respect for different opinions, cultures,
experiences, and lifestyles.
The University of Wyoming aims to be a
leader in the Rocky Mountain region among higher education
institutions in designing and implementing diversity
initiatives. We also look forward to establishing a more
visible partnership with the greater Laramie, Wyoming
community in creating an environment that invites and
welcomes individuals from varied backgrounds and beliefs.
Mirroring the city of Laramie, the University hopes to
embody in the minds of its administrators, faculty, staff,
students, and visitors a warm and open human spirit.
The University of Wyoming accepts and
encourages new ideas and approaches to educating our
students, as the links listed to the left of this page
attest. We encourage you to notify the Office of Diversity
of other efforts currently underway and to also submit
additional ideas. The University of Wyoming is committed to
endorsing and supporting viable diversity initiatives.
