Inspiring Creativity

It is the mission of Cultural Outreach to present artistic and educational opportunities to Wyoming's public schools, UW students and communities, preparing them as future patrons of the arts, not only nurturing them to someday support the arts financially, but also expanding their appreciation and knowledge about artists like Mozart, Renoir, and Shakespeare; arts inspire innovative thinking. There are many luxuries that we would not be enjoying if we, as a society, did not inspire creativity. By working closely with the Fine Arts Departments, we have found that the best way to utilize our small budget effectively is both by "reaching out," making it possible for faculty and students to tour in the state, and by "reaching in," bringing students and educators onto campus to work with major artists and with our faculty.

The UW Centennial Singers, a part of UW Cultural Outreach, tour Wyoming and the surrounding areas — performing annually for audiences totaling over 40,00.
