University of Wyoming

Bienvenidos,

On behalf of the Chicano Studies faculty, we welcome you to our website. Chicano Studies is an interdisciplinary field of instruction and inquiry that primarily examines the social, economic, and political experience of U.S. Mexican origin Latino/as. The Wyoming Mexican American experience dates back to the 16th century through Spanish conquest, exploration, and colonialism. Today, Chicanas/os continue to be a vibrant component of the Wyoming historical and cultural landscape. Through a rigorous program of study, the Chicano Studies program assists the University of Wyoming and the College of Arts and Sciences in reaching institutional goals of diversity, interdisciplinarity, internationalization, and access. We invite you to learn more about our program through the links above and to the side.

Sinceramente,
