Students may apply
for more than one scholarship. Each entry requires a separate
application (.pdf file requires free
Acrobat Reader to view or print). Scholarship awards will be
determined by consideration of need, grades, extracurricular and/or
internship activities, quality of the essay and the specifications of
each scholarship.

Important Dates
|
Scholarship applications must be received in the
COJO Department office (Ross 428) by Friday, 7 March 2008, no later than
5:00 PM.
Scholarships will be awarded at the department
reception on Sunday, 27 April 2008. Recipients must attend the
reception to receive their scholarship.

Dreinhofer Award - Outstanding Achievement Student Publications
Robert Combs Warner
"Top Drawer” Award in News Photography and Photojournalism.
One $500 (minimum) scholarship available only if a qualified applicant
can be found. Available to a junior or senior majoring in the
Department of Communication and Journalism. Applicants must submit a
portfolio of published clippings of single news photos or photo
features. Each clip should be accompanied by an 8x10 black and white
glossy or 35mm slide. In event of close deliberation, preference will
be given to a qualified candidate who is a senior, a Branding Iron
photographer, and/or a student from Converse County.
