A Thematic Self-Study:

Enriching the UW Learning Experience

The University of Wyoming has been actively engaged in self-study for the last two years as part of its reaccreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).  The self-study process will culminate with a site visit by an HLC-appointed team in spring 2010.  Enriching the UW Learning Experience represents a true thematic self-study, guided by university planning motifs -- access, excellence, and leadership -- and with a focus on distinctive learning opportunities, and the research and outreach endeavors of the institution.  The self-study addresses the HLC Criteria and Core Components for Accreditation.  The organizational structure and implementation of the self-study is linked to UW planning, the Creation of the Future series and University Plan III.

The on-site visit by HLC peer evaluators is scheduled for March 1-3, 2010.
